CAPSSA was established in 2025 as the new Allied Professionals Society and Special Interest Group under SA Heart, representing all allied professionals in the cardiovascular field.
CAPSSA was established in 2025 as the new Allied Professionals Society, and as a Special Interest Group under SA Heart. CAPSSA represents all allied professionals in the cardiovascular field (both in the private and public sector):
- Nursing staff in cath labs, vascular labs, cardiac wards, cardiac high cares and cardiac ICUs
- Radiographers in cath and vascular labs
- Cardiac physiologists in cath lab, EP labs, vascular labs, cardiologists rooms
The objectives are to provide education, training and professional development, to protect and promote the rights and interest of our members, to provide a forum for collaboration between various related societies, and to make available educational grants to our members (depending on availability of funding).
