Governance

The South African Heart Association NPC (SA Heart®) is registered as a Non-Profit Company with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission. SA Heart® is a volunteer-led medical society, with members and leadership being clinicians, allied professionals and basic scientists in the field of cardiovascular healthcare. Board and Committee members, and many other volunteer members give their time without compensation, while continuing to work in their field of expertise. Members of the SA Heart® leadership commit to good governance principles, abiding by Non-Profit Company legislation and King IV principles as they apply for Non-Profits. They subscribe to the SA Heart® code of conduct.
